Job description

Are you a hands-on Infrastructure-as-Code expert who can provision real Kubernetes environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP, while keeping security, auditability, portability, and operational reliability in mind?, PortBlueSky is supporting a major multinational enterprise in scaling a widely adopted open-source, Kubernetes-native agentic AI platform. We are looking for a Platform Engineer / DevOps specialist to provision internal environments and support multi-cloud client deployments, with a strong focus on Terraform, Kubernetes, GitOps, and cloud-native identity.

This role is ideal for someone who can move between cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, Kubernetes debugging, deployment automation, and client advisory work., * Provision internal and client environments: Build and maintain repeatable Kubernetes deployment environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

  • Own multi-cloud IaC patterns: Use Terraform to define secure, maintainable, portable infrastructure for EKS, AKS, GKE, networking, storage, identity, and deployment dependencies.
  • Build Azure parity: Help establish strong Azure deployment patterns, including AKS, Azure managed identity, Azure OpenAI, Azure networking, Azure Container Registry, Key Vault, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
  • Support enterprise deployment requirements: Work within client infrastructure constraints, including strict security, audit, change-control, network, registry, and identity requirements.
  • Standardize deployment automation: Improve GitOps workflows, Helm release management, OCI chart/image handling, GitHub Actions/OIDC, Terraform remote state, environment promotion, and cluster bootstrap automation.
  • Integrate with client stacks: Support deployment patterns for Databricks, S3-compatible storage, managed Postgres, OTEL, model gateways, private registries, and cloud-native secret systems.
  • Debug practical failures: Resolve issues around CRDs not being established, unavailable APIService resources, webhook certificates, image pulls, RBAC denials, network policies, DNS, ingress, and cloud identity.
  • Support forward-deployed engineering: Help client teams that lack internal Kubernetes, DevOps, or cloud-platform maturity adopt robust deployment patterns.

What We Offer

  • A technically challenging platform mission: Work on a real open-source platform being scaled for enterprise adoption across cloud providers and client-owned environments.
  • A senior, developer-led culture: PortBlueSky publicly positions itself around top 1% technical experts, senior engineering talent, and challenging projects for leading corporations.
  • Remote-first flexibility: Work in a remote-first setup with flexible conditions and a strong work-life balance.
  • High ownership: Shape how environments are provisioned, promoted, secured, upgraded, and supported.
  • Practical impact: Your work will directly affect whether the platform can be adopted by enterprise teams with confidence.

Requirements

You are an experienced Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with:

  • Strong Terraform experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Hands-on experience with EKS, AKS, and GKE.
  • Practical knowledge of Kubernetes networking, node pools, workload identity, private clusters, managed ingress, storage classes, and cluster upgrade workflows.
  • Experience with GitOps, Helm release management, OCI charts/images, GitHub Actions/OIDC, Terraform remote state, and environment promotion.
  • Experience deploying into client infrastructure or multi-cloud environments with security, audit, and change-control requirements.
  • A preference for portable, vendor-agnostic patterns while still using native cloud identity and infrastructure where appropriate.
  • Strong debugging skills and calmness under deployment pressure.
  • Fluent English and comfort working in a distributed, international team.
  • EU residency and permission to work in the EU., * Deep Azure experience, especially AKS, managed identity, Azure OpenAI, Azure Container Registry, Key Vault, and private networking.
  • Experience with Databricks, managed Postgres, OTEL, model gateways, private registries, or enterprise secrets management.
  • Familiarity with agentic AI platforms, Kubernetes-native control planes, MCP/A2A flows, or workflow orchestration.
  • Experience supporting enterprise clients in consulting, staff augmentation, or forward-deployed roles.
