Job description
- Serve as the final escalation point for complex technical issues - if Tier 1 and 2 can’t fix it, you’re the superhero they call.
- Tackle advanced system and network incidents across cloud and on-prem environments with calm professionalism (and maybe a touch of sarcasm).
- Administer and optimize Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) while making it look easy.
- Keep Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Exchange Online, and related cloud technologies running smoother than a fresh patch install.
- Plan, deploy, and support IT infrastructure projects that make our clients’ tech dreams come true.
- Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs (Cisco, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, SonicWall - you know the drill).
- Champion cybersecurity best practices - patch, protect, and politely panic when someone clicks that suspicious email link.
- Automate all the boring stuff using PowerShell, Python, or RMM tools - because you’re clever like that.
- Document and standardize everything so future you (and your teammates) don’t have to reinvent the wheel.
- Communicate clearly with clients and teammates - whether you’re explaining DNS to a CFO or walking a junior tech through Group Policy.
- Mentor junior technicians and contribute to a culture where learning, laughter, and late-night troubleshooting coexist harmoniously.
Requirements
We’re on the hunt for a sharp, resourceful, and slightly caffeinated Tier 3 Systems Engineer to join our powerhouse MSP team. If you thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment where no two days look the same - and you love solving complex tech puzzles - this role is for you. You’ll be the person others call when the server’s acting up, the cloud is feeling moody, or the Wi-Fi has a mind of its own., * 5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or engineering - ideally in an MSP where coffee is its own food group.
- Deep expertise with Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Exchange Online.
- Solid networking chops - VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, and firewalls are second nature to you.
- Experience with virtualization (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V) and storage solutions (NAS/SAN).
- Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and best practices - you patch faster than hackers can scan.
- Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell preferred) - because typing the same thing twice is a sin.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills - you can explain a subnet mask without losing your audience.
- Certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Network+/Security+, or Cisco CCNA are a big plus (and earn you bragging rights).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with RMM and PSA tools (ConnectWise, Datto, etc.).
- Comfortable in Linux and macOS environments - because not every client speaks Windows.
- Background in project management or client account technical ownership.
- Ability to juggle multiple clients, priorities, and pings on Teams without losing your cool.
