Job description

Amazon Ads Measurement is looking for a Principle TPM to lead the AI transformation of measurement and reporting. The TPM will lead projects that acquire conversion signals, create new APIs that power agentic experiences, and help scale our high throughput data pipelines that create measurement for our customers. Amazon is investing heavily in building a world class advertising business and we are responsible for major initiatives. We are highly motivated, collaborative and fun-loving with an entrepreneurial spirit and bias for action. With a broad mandate to experiment and innovate, we are growing at an unprecedented rate with a seemingly endless range of new opportunities.

You will also be excellent at driving results, being able to build solutions for large, multi-functional projects on-time, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance business needs versus technical constraints. You are responsible for defining technical design and building world-class software that pushes boundaries.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large-scale advertising technology programs, a deep understanding AI technologies and ML operations, and a proven track record of delivering results in complex, matrix organizations. You will need to demonstrate strong technical acumen, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to influence across organizational boundaries. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of advertising reporting and measurement while working with innovative technology and world-class teams.

Key job responsibilities Key job responsibilities A TPM will partner with engineers, other TPMs, and senior management to help create world-class solutions.

Part of your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage cross-team, cross-organization, and cross company delivery of long-term customer-facing programs.
  • Manage business requirements, design, performance expectations and goals with all stakeholder teams.
  • Partner with other leaders to define business and architectural strategy and build roadmaps for the programs you and your team own.
  • Be responsible for the overall coordination, quality and productivity and will be the primary point of contact for world-wide stakeholders of programs that you run.
  • Manage prioritization and tradeoffs across engineering, customers, and time to market.
  • Drive architecture, engineering and integration decisions and timelines with dependency teams.
  • Establish business processes and policies as well as metrics and indicators for success.
  • Develop, report, and continually improve business performance metrics.
  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.
  • Translate customer’s business requirements into technical/functional specifications for the engineers
  • Ascertain the true requirements underlying feature requests; recommend alternative technical approaches and lead engineering efforts to meet timelines
  • Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment for sales and marketing
  • Capture, share and leverage your best practice knowledge across a broad group of engineers throughout all subsidiaries
  • Drive customer outcomes!

About the team The measurement infrastructure organization enables advertising success through three core programs. Scaled Campaign Reporting provides advertisers with actionable insights for campaign optimization and comprehensive performance metrics produced by our measurement teams, enabling smarter, data-driven decisions. Signal Acquisition harvests and enriches global site event data across Amazon, captures off-Amazon interactions through external integrations, and supports app publishers via mobile measurement providers. Developer Foundations streamlines internal development through standardized frameworks and engines, reduces integration costs and accelerates adoption of APIs and features by external partners. These core programs are supported by the Partner Enablement Program (PEP), which offers technical guidance and engineering support to partners building new measurement and reporting.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
