Job description
As an Enterprise Architect, you will:
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to senior leaders and programme stakeholders.
- Develop enterprise-wide technology strategies that support large-scale organisational transformation.
- Create and maintain future-state architecture models, standards, patterns, and roadmaps.
- Design and promote shared digital capabilities, platforms, and integration approaches.
- Review and assure technical proposals to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, interoperable, and aligned with strategic objectives.
- Analyse complex technology landscapes and recommend pragmatic, future-focused architecture solutions.
- Lead architecture governance activities across major digital and technology programmes.
- Shape the technical elements of business cases, investment proposals, and transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate with technical teams, programme managers, suppliers, and procurement colleagues to ensure architectural alignment.
- Drive consistency across data, infrastructure, applications, and integration services.
- Identify opportunities to modernise services through emerging technologies and innovative digital solutions.
- Support the development of architecture communities of practice and promote best practice across teams.
Requirements
Do you have experience in TOGAF?, This role is ideal for an experienced Enterprise Architect, Lead Solutions Architect, Digital Architect, Technical Architect, or Transformation Architect with a passion for public sector innovation., We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Architect with strong strategic, technical, and stakeholder management skills., * Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience as an Enterprise Architect, Senior Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or Digital Architect.
- Experience delivering enterprise architecture within large, complex organisations or public sector environments.
- TOGAF 9.2 certification or equivalent enterprise architecture accreditation.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies, including: TOGAF, ArchiMate, BPMN, COBIT, IT4IT
- Proven experience designing enterprise-wide technology strategies and future-state architectures.
- Strong understanding of:
- Cloud technologies
- Integration patterns and APIs
- Data architecture
- Digital platforms
- Infrastructure and security principles
- Experience assuring major technology programmes, business cases, and transformation initiatives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Experience influencing senior leaders and driving organisational change.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience working within local government or the wider public sector.
- Knowledge of organisational design and business process re-engineering.
- Experience supporting multi-agency transformation programmes.
- Understanding of change management methodologies and digital service delivery models.
- Passion for emerging technologies and innovation., * Enterprise Architect, Senior Solution Architect or similar: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline (preferred)
