Job description

DUTIES: Build data processing pipeline that collects, connects, centralizes, and curates data from various internal and external sources using a variety of languages and tools to marry systems together for Enterprise Data Warehouse. Leverage modern cloud platforms and services to develop highly scalable, secure and reliable data engineering solutions for efficiently moving and transforming data across systems. Design, implement, test and deploy cloud-based data processing infrastructure. Perform work in an Agile team setting. Position may be performed remotely from WA, AK, MT, FL or GA.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Technologies, Information Assurance, Data Management, Information Security, or a related field; and Five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate data engineering experience which includes five (5) years of experience with each of the following:

  • Designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and cloud resources on Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery) for cost-effective, high-performance processing;

  • Engineering scalable ingestion and transformation processes using Apache Spark, Spark SQL, and Python, orchestrated with Apache Airflow;

  • Developing advanced SQL queries and performing query optimization on large-scale data platforms such as Google BigQuery;

  • Building dimensional data models and maintaining curated datasets for analytics and reporting purposes;

  • Implementing data security and compliance controls in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards;

  • Automating monitoring, alerting, and data-quality checks to ensure pipeline reliability and accuracy; and

  • Delivering end-to-end production solutions (requirements, design, testing, deployment, and support) in collaboration with stakeholders.

Experience may be gained concurrently.

Salary: The compensation range of $129,992 to $194,988 per year for this position was calculated based on FTE. Benefit package includes medical, dental, and vision plans, 403(b), life insurance, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
