Job description

We are partnering with a well-established global manufacturing organization to hire a Salesforce Solution Analyst based in Crystal Lake. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of Salesforce administration, data engineering, analytics, and business process optimization. This position plays a critical role in supporting and enhancing the organization’s Salesforce ecosystem while also driving data and analytics initiatives that help shape business decisions across the company.

What You’ll Be Doing

Salesforce Administration & Platform Management

  • Serve as the primary Salesforce administrator across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Field Service Cloud
  • Configure and maintain custom objects, workflows, flows, approval processes, validation rules, page layouts, and security settings
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable Salesforce solutions
  • Manage user access, permissions, integrations, releases, sandbox environments, and deployments
  • Support Salesforce adoption through training, documentation, and user support
  • Evaluate and implement new Salesforce capabilities during seasonal releases
  • Maintain AppExchange tools and third-party integrations

Data Engineering & Analytics

  • Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines integrating Salesforce and other business systems into a centralized data environment
  • Build reusable data models and optimize data architecture for reporting and analytics
  • Develop advanced SQL queries, scripts, and transformations across multiple data sources
  • Create dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI and/or Tableau
  • Partner with business leaders to define KPIs and deliver actionable insights
  • Ensure strong data quality, governance, and reporting accuracy
  • Support data integration initiatives using APIs, Python scripting, and cloud-based tools

Requirements

Do you have experience in Salesforce Cloud?, * 5+ years of Salesforce administration experience in a production environment

  • Strong hands-on experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Salesforce Flows
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, BI development, or analytics engineering
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience building and optimizing data pipelines
  • Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau
  • Experience with Python scripting and Salesforce APIs
  • Familiarity with Azure-based data environments and cloud data warehousing
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum or Waterfall environments

Preferred Experience

  • Salesforce certifications such as Advanced Administrator or Platform App Builder
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM Analytics/Tableau
  • Familiarity with dbt, Git, CI/CD practices, and Salesforce DX
  • Exposure to MuleSoft, CDC, Platform Events, or Streaming APIs
  • Knowledge of data governance and master data management concepts
