Job description

In this role as Technical Localization Specialist you act as the link between software teams and translators, combining technical know-how with language awareness to drive high-quality localization within our product development workflows., * Partner with software teams to build globally ready products by embedding localization and internationalization best practices into development workflows

  • Own end-to-end software string localization workflows across products, from source readiness and translation to integration and release.
  • Coordinate translation timelines, priorities, and issue resolution with external translation partners and development teams across multiple time zones.
  • Work with UX teams to improve source content quality, context, and translation readiness
  • Triage and resolve localization-related defects
  • Contribute to tooling and process improvements to further automate localization workflows

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with a strong interest in languages - or vice versa: a language-related degree with solid technical understanding
  • Several years of relevant experience in localization, software development, technical project coordination, or a related field
  • Good understanding of software development processes, version control systems, and build pipelines, with basic programming skills (e.g. Python or C++)
  • Experience working with structured data formats (e.g. XML, JSON) and localization file types
  • Excellent English skills and native-level or near-native proficiency in at least one additional language; additional languages are a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, paired with a service-oriented mindset
  • Excellent time management with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities in parallel and work collaboratively across teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across technical and linguistic stakeholders
  • Experience with tools such as Git, Gerrit, Visual Studio Code, Jira, and Confluence would be a plus
