Network Automation Engineer

This role focuses on network automation, system administration, and software development within an enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will use Python and shell scripting to automate tasks, develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust network solutions. This position requires a minimum of 3 days per week onsite., * Automate repetitive tasks and workflows using Python and shell scripts within a virtual environment

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment automation
• Deploy code to development, QA, Staging and Production servers
• Develop and implement automation strategies for network configuration, monitoring, and management
• Design and maintain scripts and tools to automate network tasks and workflows
• Lead code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to streamline operations and processes
• Lead architectural discussions and decision-making processes related to network and automation
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand network requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network architects and engineers
• Create and maintain technical documentation for systems and processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 7+ years of proven experience as a network architect or in a similar senior-level network engineering role
• Extensive experience with network automation tools and practices
• Strong background in designing and implementing enterprise-level network solutions
• Proficiency in network protocols, services, and standards (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, VLANs, VRFs)
• Very strong proficiency in Python programming and Linux OS (Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.)
• Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible)
• Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN) (Arista CVP, Cisco ACI)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Desired skills:

• Advanced certifications in Networking (e.g., CCIE, JNCIE)
• Knowledge of database systems (SQL, Nautobot)
• Arista ACE Level 5 or Cisco DevNet S/P/E
