Job description

Join a detail-driven finance team where you’ll play a critical role in ensuring accurate cash flow by managing daily cash applications, reconciliations, and customer payment processes. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally, solve complex payment issues, and deliver exceptional customer support in a fast-paced, high-impact environment., This position is responsible for the daily activities in processing and depositing cash receipts in order to ensure prompt and accurate recording of payments to customer accounts. Provide daily management and leadership to the Cash Applications team, ensuring that staff is adhering to departmental procedures. Continually evaluate the effectiveness of operational procedures and controls to maximize departmental productivity., * Day to day management of cash applications including payment processing and receipt application.

  • Oversee daily payment processes, bank deposits, and resolution of unapplied receipts.
  • Make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Eliminate non-value-added processes currently in place.
  • Implement and coordinate staff development.
  • Development and education of staff in the areas of processes and systems.
  • Recruit and retain employees with skills, knowledge and attitude to succeed.
  • Provides feedback on employee performance. Identify opportunities and establish goals for staff.
  • Responsible for cycle end close processes.
  • Checks & balances to ensure payments interface to the GL before cycle close.
  • Review and maintain process documentation.
  • Update process documentation as changes are made.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent required

Experience

  • 1-3 years with major ERP systems. (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards)
  • 1 -3 years of A/R background

Knowledge / Technical Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems
  • Windows XP, MS Office, MS Outlook, Oracle and QuickBooks

Competencies, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent troubleshooting/analytical skills required
  • Must have strong leadership skills
  • Excellent self-management skills required
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills required

Benefits & conditions

The target pay rate for this position is between $22.95 - $31.30 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include: geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is eligible for a bonus based upon performance results. There is no guarantee of payout.
