IT Project Manager ERP Modernization

LANL is modernizing its enterprise systems - finance, HR, procurement, supply chain, and core IT - and needs an expert IT Project Manager to own the technical workstream. You will manage SAP S/4HANA implementation, data platform migration, system integrations, and vendor delivery across a complex, highly regulated federal environment. This is a high-visibility role with direct impact on one of the nation’s most critical research institutions., * Lead full lifecycle project management for ERP IT workstreams - planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout

• Manage SAP S/4HANA, Databricks, SAP Business Data Cloud, integrations, infrastructure, and technical readiness activities
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, risk registers, issue logs, and status reports
• Coordinate across IT, Finance, HR, procurement, vendors, system integrators, PMO, and OCM teams
• Track vendor deliverables, manage dependencies, and drive accountability to scope, schedule, and budget
• Translate complex technical information into clear updates for technical and executive audiences

Do you have experience in Vendor relationship management?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * 12+ years IT project management experience; Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent

• Demonstrated large-scale ERP implementation or modernization experience (SAP preferred)
• Experience managing data platforms, integrations, APIs, cloud platforms, or application dependencies
• Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams including vendors, integrators, PMO, and business stakeholders
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to executive audiences
• S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance

Preferred:

• PMP, CSM, or SAFe Scrum Master certification
• Direct SAP S/4HANA implementation experience
• Experience in a PMO or highly regulated federal environment
• Active DOE Q Clearance, * S. Citizenship - required for Q Clearance eligibility, no exceptions
• Ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance - subject to federal background investigation
• 12+ years IT project management experience or equivalent
• Demonstrated ERP implementation or modernization experience
