Job description
The Manager, Deployment Services is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the Configuration Center and Deployment teams. This role oversees project management and process improvement initiatives while ensuring internal and external customers receive outstanding service.This role will be based in Vernon, CA.
What You Will Do
-
Manage the activities performed in all work areas within the Configuration Center and Deployment teams to include day-to-day operations, implementation of procedures, project and records management, collection and reporting of statistics, and budget/P&L activities.

Hire, onboard, and oversee a team of coworkers including coaching, development and performance management.

Develop and execute action plans geared towards increasing coworker engagement.

Meet with supervisors and coworkers to communicate department and company information.

Serve as an escalation point for special requests and exceptions.

Educate Sales force and other departments on the Configuration Center service offerings.

Plan, develop and facilitate changes in operational procedures, process improvement, coworker incentive programs, ISO documentation, best practices, work flow, personnel assignments, and infrastructure.

Collaborate with management team to ensure departmental bench strength.

Ensure safe working environment.

Conduct tours as needed.

Commute to the configuration and deployment in Vernon, CA on a daily basis. Occasional remote work possible, approved on a case-by-case basis.

The general work hours will be 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and may change based on business need.

Work after hours or weekend as business need dictates.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
-
2 years of supervisory experience.
-
5 years of working technical and configuration experience.

Strong foundation in client computing
-
Proficiency with laptop and PC configuration methods, including Chromebook White Glove enrollment, Windows imaging, Intune, and Autopilot

Strong coaching and developing skills.

Customer service orientation
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
-
Aptitude to quickly learn new technology and to put it into practical use.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information. Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology. Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize. Ability to apply common sense in performing job. Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines. Ability to travel as needed.

Bachelors Degree (BS).

A+ Certification and Network+ Certification or equivalent.

One year of prior management experience within CDW. Familiar with CDW’s current systems and tools, is a plus.
