Job description
We are seeking a proactive and technically capable IT Coordinator to support the IT Manager in the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company’s IT systems and infrastructure.
The IT Coordinator will play a key role in providing first- and second-line support across the business, coordinating IT activities, assisting with system implementations, and ensuring the smooth running of IT services within a fast-paced manufacturing and warehousing environment.
This role requires close collaboration with operational teams, suppliers, and external service providers to ensure IT systems effectively support production, warehousing, and business operations., IT Operations & Support
- Provide day-to-day IT support to users across manufacturing, warehousing, and office functions.
- Respond to and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Escalate complex issues to the IT Manager or third-party providers as required.
- Assist with the maintenance, monitoring, and performance of IT systems and infrastructure.
Systems & Application Support
- Support business-critical systems including ERP, manufacturing execution systems (MES), warehouse systems, and associated applications.
- Assist with system upgrades, patches, and new implementations (including Sage 200 and future ERP developments).
- Ensure system access controls, user accounts, and permissions are maintained accurately.
Manufacturing & Warehouse Technology Support
- Provide on-site IT support for production lines, shop-floor systems, scanners, printers, and warehouse technology.
- Work closely with production and warehouse teams to minimise downtime caused by IT-related issues.
- Support data capture, reporting, and system availability in operational environments.
Vendor & Asset Coordination
- Liaise with third-party IT suppliers and service providers to coordinate support, maintenance, and installations.
- Assist with IT asset management, including tracking hardware, software licences, and renewals.
- Support procurement activities for IT equipment in line with company policies.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT processes, system configurations, and support procedures.
- Ensure IT activities comply with company policies, security standards, and relevant industry regulations.
- Support data security, backup, and disaster recovery procedures.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the IT Manager to support ongoing IT projects and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, finance, and supply chain to understand and address IT requirements.
- Communicate clearly with users at all levels of the business.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Manufacturing?, * Minimum 2 years experience in an IT support or coordination role, preferably within a manufacturing or warehousing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of IT hardware, software, networks, and user support.
- Experience supporting ERP systems and operational technologies within production or warehouse settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Windows environments, Microsoft 365, and general networking principles.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support non-technical users.
- Proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn and develop
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, operationally critical environment., * IT support: 2 years (required)

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
