Software Engineer

HUR is seeking a Software Engineer to join the innovative technology team of or client. This is an active Operations and Maintenance contract supporting real-time software systems in a mission-critical environment. You’ll solve problems that matter, fast, and the work is visible the moment it’s deployed., You’ll own the full lifecycle of software support for complex operational systems. Day to day, that means troubleshooting and resolving software issues before they impact operations, isolating root causes of system errors and unexpected performance, supporting integration and delivery of new software baselines, analyzing end-to-end system behavior across large-scale operational environments, and providing rapid software solutions that restore service when it counts.

Do you have experience in Software engineering?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Active, transferable Top Secret security clearance (non-negotiable - no sponsorship available)

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Master’s preferred)
• 5 or more years of professional Software Engineering experience
• Hands-on coding experience in Java and/or C++
• Background in software development and/or software integration

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, or similar configuration management tools
• Linux or Unix environment experience
• SQL database experience
• Familiarity with Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence
• Prior work in configuration-controlled, structured development environments
• O&M contract experience or real-time software application support background, * Bachelor’s (Required)

Experience:

• Software Engineering: 5 years (Required)
• Java / C++ coding: 5 years (Required)
