Valhalla Vitality is a technology-driven B2C healthcare platform preparing to operate as a standalone, publicly listed company. As a ~$20M business scaling independently from Ironsail LLC, we are building the infrastructure required to support reliable, secure, and efficient operations.

Valhalla Vitality is transitioning into a standalone entity and requires dedicated ownership of its technology operations.

As the business continues to scale, there is a growing need for clear accountability across systems, infrastructure, and operational technology. Currently, technology oversight is distributed, which can lead to inefficiencies in incident response, system ownership, and operational continuity.

This role is being established to bring structure, ownership, and reliability to technology operations-ensuring systems run smoothly, issues are resolved efficiently, and the organization is equipped to scale without operational risk.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Head of Technology Operations to own and lead all technology operations for Valhalla Vitality.

This is a senior-level individual contributor role operating as the head of technology operations with full ownership and accountability across systems, infrastructure, and operational technology. The individual will act as the technical bridge between business and engineering, ensuring systems, integrations, and workflows operate reliably and scale effectively.

This person does not need to code, but must have a deep understanding of systems, architecture, integrations, and operational workflows.

This role is focused on ownership, execution, and operational leadership-not development and not pure strategy.

Core ResponsibilitiesTechnology Ownership & Oversight

• Own all business systems and infrastructure (Google Workspace, SaaS tools, integrations, monitoring)
• Serve as the first point of contact for all technology operations
• Ensure systems, tools, and data flows are aligned, reliable, and properly implemented

Incident Management & Service Continuity

• Establish and own incident response processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues end-to-end
• Ensure problems are solved at this level-not escalated unnecessarily to leadership
• Proactively identify risks and prevent disruptions

Systems, Integrations & Execution

• Own operational oversight of integrations and workflows
• Support and validate migrations, implementations, and system changes
• Ensure platforms and tools support business growth and scalability

Security, Compliance & Infrastructure Awareness

• Maintain visibility into cybersecurity, access controls, and data management
• Support compliance readiness for a publicly listed company
• Ensure proper operational discipline around infrastructure decisions

Cross-Functional Leadership & Coordination

• Act as the bridge between business and technical teams
• Translate business needs into clear technical requirements
• Partner with leadership
• Coordinate with Ironsail LLC on deployments, monitoring, and handoffs

Technology Enablement & Scaling

• Support execution of the technology roadmap (modernization * feature upgrades * mobile)
• Drive operational improvements, automation, and AI-first workflows
• Ensure systems scale efficiently with business growth

What This Role Is NOT

• Not a software engineering or development role (handled by Ironsail LLC)
• Not responsible for building product features
• Not purely strategic (CEO retains technology leadership and vision)

This is the person who keeps operations running, solves problems, and ensures the business does not rely on leadership for day-to-day technical issues.

Do you have experience in SaaS?, * 7-12+ years in IT operations, technical operations, or similar roles

• Experience owning technology operations in a small to mid-sized business
• Strong understanding of SaaS environments, cloud platforms, and API integrations
• Experience with incident management, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with security, compliance, and data management practices
• Ability to operate across technical and non-technical teams, * Senior, experienced operator who has “run IT” in a business environment
• Strong business + technical hybrid mindset
• Able to translate between technical and operational teams (“speaks both languages”)
• Comfortable with ambiguity and building structure from scratch
• Problem-solver, not problem-escalator
• Takes ownership and drives resolution

• Are you comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with regular overlap with U.S. Eastern Time business hours?

• Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 USD (aligned to experience and location)
• Contractor structure with hourly or monthly rate options
• Offshore compensation aligned with market rates
