Our first ever event in India is just around the corner, the creator of Photopea joined us on WeAreDevelopers LIVE, we dropped a new creative coding challenge as well a talk from San Jose and a double dose of Coffee with Developers. Here’s everything you might have missed this week.

🇮🇳 WeAreDevelopers India

WeAreDevelopers Conference India takes place in Bengaluru on November 25th and 26th, with more than 100 speakers and 3,000 builders joining us for two amazing days, with speakers including Entire CEO Thomas Dohmke, Tricentis CEO Wolfgang Platz and many, many more.

Tickets are on sale now at wearedevs.in.

🔴 LIVE and Fake or News: Ivan Kutskir

On WeAreDevelopers LIVE this week we welcomed Ivan Kutskir, creator of browser-based image editor Photopea. In Like Peas in a Pod: What Happens When People Clone Your App? we got into how an innocent exploration into how to reverse-engineer a PSD file led him down the path to success.

Ivan also took on a round of Fake or News, with Dating AI Spies, Danish Data Leaks and Fridges on Fire. Can you tell which headlines are real?

In the Dev Digest this week we shone a spotlight on a session from this year’s WeAreDevelopers World Congress North America, with Mark Cavage, Michael Irwin and Hervé Bizira’s Manufacturing Trust, Speed and Safety in the Age of Agents, looking at how to use sandboxes to keep agents running quickly and efficiently, but most importantly, safely.

In a double-dose of accessibility-themed Coffee with Developers, Ramona Schwering explains why strict login security can create serious accessibility barriers in Secure and Accessible Login Systems, and in Psychological Safety in Software Engineering, Jenny Margrethe Vej and Alexandra Hou Aldershaab look at what makes engineering teams feel safe to speak up.

🎨 Without Love: a creative coding challenge

Our VP of DevRel, Chris Heilmann, has a challenge for you. The without-love repo on GitHub contains one HTML file with Lao-Tzu’s wisdom on what things become when love is missing, and your job is to turn some simple old HTML into something interesting.

There are no rules on what you do or which tech you use, though newer CSS techniques are encouraged because we’d love to hear about a feature you were excited to experiment with.

To enter, add a folder to the entries directory, and create a PR. Three winners will be picked in the next few weeks, invited onto a special edition of Coffee with Developers, and given a free ticket to our events in Berlin, Bengaluru or San Jose.

📰 In the magazine

Inspired by Mark’s talk, Do You Trust Your Agents? Five Quick Ways to Contain Them covers auditing what your agents can reach, stronger isolation, locking down the network, keeping credentials out of reach and enforcing permissions through rules rather than prompts.

✍️ Calling all guest writers

Got something to say? We’re actively looking for guest writers and guests for the show. Pitch an article at wearedevelopers.com/write-for-us or apply to be a guest.

That’s a wrap! Don’t forget, there are hundreds of hours of talks from this summer’s WeAreDevelopers World Congress North America in the video section.

Until next week… happy building!
