Jens Petersohn runs software engineering and AI architecture as the CTO of Mercedes-Benz Tech Innovation and Home-of-Tech. He leads a 7,500-person organization, figuring out how to make artificial intelligence work at scale inside complex enterprise systems.
He started his career in 2006 debugging Internet Explorer 6. After joining Mercedes in 2014, he designed how their connected cars communicate with the cloud.
Today, his focus is turning AI into actual product value rather than just hype. He still holds strong opinions about JavaScript—they just take a lot more effort to revert now.
