Building Better Mobile Trading Charts: SciChart iOS & Android v4.8

Financial charting is about more than displaying candlesticks. For trading applications, the ability to analyse and annotate data directly on the chart can be just as important as the chart itself.

That’s the focus of SciChart iOS & Android v4.8.

The release expands SciChart’s annotation toolkit with new tools designed for financial and trading charts:

XABCD Patterns with five control points and automatically calculated Fibonacci leg ratios. Andrews’ Pitchfork with three parallel trend lines based on three control points. Extended Lines for trend lines that can project across the chart. Freehand Drawing for drawing custom paths directly over the chart using touch gestures. Composite Annotations for grouping multiple annotations into a single editable object. 

The new creation modifiers also allow these annotations to be created interactively on the chart using touch and drag gestures — particularly useful when building native financial and trading experiences for mobile.
