Data Architect (w/m/d)

• Design, development, and operation of our PostgreSQL data warehouse as a central, GDPR-compliant database
• Developing and maintaining automated, self-hosted ingestion pipelines from Salesforce (CRM) and other source systems
• API integration of external systems: Deskline (property management system), DATEV (accounting software), and future sources
• Providing warehouse data via clean APIs and database connections—for Tableau dashboards, internal apps, and AI agents
• Building the transformation layer, including staging/mart structure, standardized metric definitions, and cross-source dbt models
• Implementation of data quality monitoring
• Development of workflow automations for agent-based processes
• Long-term: Actively shaping our AI architecture: pgvector-based RAG setups, specialized agents in the data warehouse, multi-agent orchestration

Requirements

• Work permit for Austria or the EU
• 3+ years of experience in setting up and managing relational databases and object-relational mapping, ideally PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with cloud database services
• Solid Python skills for data pipelines and API integrations
• Proficiency with REST APIs and Git
• Talent for troubleshooting and debugging
• Good written and spoken English skills

Nice to Have:

• Salesforce data structures or comparable CRM systems
• Experience with dbt or comparable transformation frameworks
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or similar)
• n8n in the context of AI automation and agent workflows
• Data quality tools (Great Expectations, Soda, or similar)
• LLM APIs or vector databases
