Job description
As a Senior Cyber Security Analyst at ISTA, you play a critical role in protecting our organization's IT infrastructure from cyberattacks. Through the utilization of diverse IT security tools and by a proactive approach to our infrastructure, you enable early identification and mitigation of potential threats. Providing ongoing employee training and maintaining comprehensive documentation of cybersecurity best practices are additional responsibilities of this position.

Continuous security monitoring of ISTA's IT infrastructure

Conducting regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses

Developing and implementing security policies and procedures

Responding to security incidents and breaches as part of the Security Incident Response Team

Educating and training users on cybersecurity best practices

Maintain a proactive approach by keeping abreast of the ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape, enhancing your knowledge and expertise to combat evolving threats
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

Several years of professional experience in cyber security

Proven experience in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing

In-depth understanding of security principles, practices, and frameworks, including ISO 27000 series, NIST, and legal obligations like GDPR and NIS2

Experience with security tools and technologies, such as SIEMs, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience with working in a research environment is a plus
