Data & Digital Workflow Specialist

Hobson Prior is seeking a Data & Digital Workflow Specialist to join a dynamic team in Basel, Switzerland. In this role, you will focus on improving how data is managed and making digital workflows more efficient. You will work closely with scientific and technical teams to implement modern solutions while ensuring data processes follow best practices. This position also involves supporting end-users and contributing to broader data strategies., * Make data easier to find, access, and use by improving workflows and processes.

• Upgrade and streamline data systems, integrate new tools, and organize older data for better usability.
• Lead the development and rollout of new tools, train users, and manage changes effectively.
• Document processes and provide ongoing support to ensure smooth system operation.
• Act as the main point of contact between IT, business teams, and users, while keeping leadership updated on progress.

• A degree in a scientific or engineering field, such as bioinformatics or data science.
• Experience in analyzing business needs, improving data systems, and optimizing workflows, especially in labs or scientific environments.
• Knowledge of best practices for managing data (e.g., FAIR principles).
• Familiarity with systems like SLIMS, LIMS, eLN, or lab automation tools is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of German or French is a bonus.
