Be part of aviation history at VÆRIDION, where we're crafting the world's first electric 9-seater aircraft! As a Test and Integration Engineer (all genders), you'll play a critical role in integrating the electric propulsion system, encompassing battery packs, power distribution systems, EWIS, inverters, and electric motors. You'll lead the execution of test campaigns for these systems and oversee the development of advanced test rigs that support both R&D and certification efforts. Your Day-to-Day
- Test Execution:
- Manage the entire test process, from request through to final reporting.
- Collaborate with design engineers to assess test requirements and develop robust test concepts for propulsion systems, batteries, and integration.
- Execute tests and deliver high-quality reports based on reliable data.
- Test Asset Ownership:
- Take ownership of multiple test assets, ensuring they are always configured, calibrated, and safe for testing.
- Manage and optimize test asset schedules for efficient execution.
- Partner with engineers and technicians to set up and commission test campaigns effectively.
- Rig Development:
- Design and develop sophisticated test rigs and instrumentation in coordination with support teams and suppliers.
- Evaluate test rig concepts using first-principle reasoning and physical idealization techniques.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists in software, mechanical, and electrical design.
- Support and Best Practices:
- Promote and uphold a culture of safety across test facilities.
- Develop, document, and maintain best practices to enhance facility operations.
- Handle ad-hoc projects and assignments with flexibility and innovation.
Requirements
Do you have experience in SolidWorks?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering (M.Sc./M.Eng. preferred).
- At least 7 years of professional experience in a test laboratory, ideally within the aerospace sector.
- Proven expertise in high-voltage batteries and multi-kW electrical powertrains.
- Strong knowledge of aerospace testing processes, measurement methodologies, and calibration practices.
- Comfortable with managing multiple suppliers for the creation of test facilities (CAPEX projects).
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and execute multiple projects simultaneously within defined timelines.
- Familiarity with aircraft-level system integration is advantageous.
- Proficiency with data acquisition and control systems (e.g., Matlab/Simulink, National Instruments) is a plus.
- Proficiency with CAD/PLM systems (e.g. Catia, SolidWorks) is a plus.
