Senior Backend Developer

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join our team working on 1P Advertising, a key initiative to unify independent platforms into a single, scalable solution. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality backend services, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability. You will collaborate closely with product management, frontend developers, designers, and AdTech teams to build a robust backend architecture that powers our platform.

Must have:

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development, with strong proficiency in Java/Kotlin
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot and the broader Spring ecosystem
• Solid experience (3+ years) working with Postgres, MySQL or other relational databases
• 2+ years of practical experience with Elasticsearch
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native development
• Familiarity with Liquibase or other database schema management tools
• Proficiency with version control systems such as Git
• Experience working with distributed message brokers (e.g. Kafka, FireHose)
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools like Grafana or Datadog
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Strong understanding of APIs, microservices architecture, and server-side processes
• Good soft skills: communication in English, ownership, leading epics development
• Experience working with a global or multicultural team

Nice to have:

• Experience in advertising technology
• Experience with Airflow and DBT for data workflows
