Job description

The role: The Senior Director of Platform Products for Home Services is responsible for establishing and driving the adoption of platform standards across the Data Platform. In this role, you will lead a team of product managers to work closely with engineers and other cross-functional teams to deliver a world-class data platform that accelerates the growth of Angi.

The data platform should provide powerful, user-friendly data frameworks that facilitate data generation, processing, analysis, access and governance across the enterprise. This role is responsible for defining our analytics posture, our global data lakehouse and data governance practices.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps for home services platform products, including data, developer, web, mobile, and API products.
  • Establish a vision for Platform products and drive efforts of the team towards evolving and achieving that vision.
  • Understand the business requirements across Angi and strategically deliver the most impactful priorities aligned with the roadmap of feature development teams in order to drive adoption and create feedback loops that inform future requirements.
  • Manage a team of product managers, providing mentorship, coaching, and career development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and customer support teams, to ensure that product initiatives align with business goals and customer needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to inform product strategy and development for home services.

Requirements

Do you have experience in New Relic?, Do you have a Master's degree?, You have 10+ years of total experience & a background as an engineer, but have transitioned into Product management with a focus on platform products or broad scope initiatives.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • Demonstrated success in driving product strategy and execution for web, mobile, and API products.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data to inform product decisions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build and manage a high-performing team.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Passion for creating products that improve the lives of customers and service professionals in the home services industry.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with database principles, microservices and creating RESTful APIs
  • Experience working with application monitoring tools such as New Relic
  • Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes
