Job description
In this role, you will play a crucial part in the preparation, installation, and ongoing technical support of our simulators used worldwide. You will collaborate with others to asses performance, communicate with customers to collect feedback, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our simulators. In the team, you will be working closely with our Project Manager and Simulator Engineers to support in identifying and resolving issues that may arise.
Your daily activities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation and installation of simulators around the world
- Assisting with testing simulator performance and operability
- Handling support via phone and email for our simulators installed worldwide
- Assisting during train-the-trainer courses for our customers
- Collecting feedback on customer satisfaction, usability and training requirements.
- Helping with implementation of new hardware and software (Windows) simulator components
Requirements
Do you have experience in Usability?, * Technical knowledge of computer hardware and networking
- An IT certification (Such as CompTIA A+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft, ITIL, etc.)
- Preferably experience and knowledge of the maritime industry
- Affinity with computer hardware solutions
- Strong communication skills in English
- Affinity for hardware solutions and IT troubleshooting
- An enthusiastic and quality-oriented attitude
- A Dutch work permit
- A European driver's license, category B
The minimum of two of the below attributes apply to you:
- Good understanding of electrical engineering
- Affinity with real-time 3D simulation software
- Knowledge of Marine equipment, Maritime training and/or Safety training
- Basic programming skills in Python or Arduino
- Basic CAD drawing skills (using AutoCAD or equivalent software)
You are:
- A team player, but also able to work independently
- Able to work in an organized manner
- Available 40 hours a week
- Based in The Netherlands
- Easy to communicate with and able to communicate with clients
- Proactively willing to keep your knowledge up to date
- Interested to learn and to work with new technologies
- Able to share your knowledge with your colleagues
- Looking forward to travel and you are available to travel internationally when required
