Third slide Contact opnemen 15172 Datum aanvraag 21-10-2025 Rol Senior Network Engineer Maastricht, NL Omschrijving Senior Network Engineer, ECTL_SRC_250067, ECTL_SRC_250066 Duties - Work within the Data Center Network (DCN) team at Maastricht UAC. - Provide network engineering and IT security support . - Handle LAN/WAN design, routing, switching, and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, FTP, etc.). - Implement and manage Quality of Service (QoS) in enterprise networks. - Work with Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortinet and other major networking/firewall technologies. - Support network management systems, SIEM tools, and automation (e.g. scripting in Python) . - Contribute to projects following quality and security standards . - Use MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Visio) for documentation and reporting. - Occasionally use wireless networking and specialized tools (e.g., Gigamon, Splunk, CA Spectrum). Requirements - Education/Experience - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Telecommunications OR 15 years of IT/Networking experience. - Certifications - Cisco CCNA Security, CCNP, and CCDP. - At least 2 certifications from major firewall vendors (Fortinet, Checkpoint, Juniper, Palo Alto). - Linux LPIC-2. - Professional Experience - Minimum 10 years in networking/IT security . - Minimum 5 years hands-on with Cisco, Checkpoint, and Fortinet . - Minimum 2 years LAN/WAN design experience . - Knowledge & Skills - Strong understanding of data communication protocols and network security. - Experience with QoS design/implementation (with at least 1 practical case). - Good English (C1/B2/B2 level). - Desirable: Dutch or German.
