In your role as a Site Reliability Engineer, you play a part in delivering second-line support and managing the entire life cycle of the BPO application landscape, ensuring our business-critical applications consistently perform at their best and remain stable including using the available infrastructure building blocks and IT policy for the support and life cycle management of our business applications., * Performing and enhancing monitoring, capacity management, vulnerability management, release management, and backup and restore processes to ensure the availability and performance of business systems.
- Optimizing the management of technical infrastructure to prevent disruptions and minimize operational impact in the event of incidents.
- Collaborating with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures.
- Advising and supporting product teams on managing new methods and techniques for configuration, optimization, and 24/7 support of applications.
- Working with architects and product owners to further develop and structurally support business-critical applications.
- Participating in multidisciplinary projects from the technical roadmap.
- Reporting to internal and external stakeholders on the impact of decisions and providing advice on the direction to be taken, where balancing interests is crucial.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, * Minimum 7 years of work experience as a DevOps or SRE engineer or in a similar position in an Enterprise environment with on-premises and cloud infrastructure stacks.
- Strong basic knowledge in networking, Linux systems and distributed computing.
- You have experience with Azure cloud, IT monitoring tools and CI/CD including automating using scripting, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines in complex enterprise environments with business-critical applications
- Experiences in supporting applications that use a combination of platforms such as MS Windows and Linux VMs and the OpenShift container platform. In addition, knowledge of messaging environments such as Kafka, RabbitMQ and Active MQ and databases such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL and Oracle. All this in a complex network environment.
- You have strong communication skills to explain complex concepts and collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills in English (Dutch Preferred).
- Working in an agile team, where you continuously work on improvements together with other SREs.
