Job description

Responsible for the architectural design and development of software applications, ensuring alignment with business/customer goals.

To lead the design, development, and implementation of software development programmes, ensuring they meet business requirements and are scalable, maintainable, and reliable., * Lead the architectural design of software applications

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements
  • Oversee the development of application solutions
  • Ensure adherence to best practices
  • Mentor and guide team members
  • Ensure applications are scalable, maintainable, and secure
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies
  • Provide technical direction to the development team including ensuring they are developed in accordance with architectural standards
  • Develop and maintain architectural documentation
  • Ensure applications meet performance, reliability and governance standards

Requirements

Do you have experience in Software development?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field or industry qualifications (advantageous but not necessary)

  • Demonstrable experience in application architecture
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies and cloud technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to obtain the Government and/or Police Security levels required in order to meet the operational requirements of the role (no caveats) and as per the requirements stipulated in relevant customer contracts.

Benefits & conditions

Salary Package: £80,000 - £90,000 plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid-for volunteering days a year Hours: 9.00 am - 5.30 pm Monday - Friday Interview Process: 2-stage process
