SAP Ariba / Inventory Management Principal Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP Inventory Management (IM) and Ariba Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise across SAP Materials Management (MM), Inventory Management (IM) processes, and SAP Ariba Procure-to-Pay (P2P). This role will focus on designing, implementing, and optimising procurement and inventory processes to strengthen supply chain efficiency and compliance. With an established Ariba implementation in place, we are now extending SAP capability within logistics-initially through Inventory Management, with future potential for EWM expansion. Experience leading an IM implementation is essential., SAP Inventory Management (IM)Configure and customise SAP IM and MM modules.Manage stock movements, goods receipts, and inventory valuation processes.Ensure seamless integration across procurement and finance workflows. Ariba Procure-to-Pay (P2P)Implement and support Ariba P2P solutions including Buying, Invoicing, Sourcing, and Ariba Network.Manage SAP cloud upgrades and ensure platform continuity.Configure catalogs, requisition workflows, and approval hierarchies.Integrate Ariba with SAP S/4HANA for purchase orders, invoices, and transactional flows.Monitor compliance and automate procurement approvals.Troubleshoot P2P issues and provide end-user support. Functional & Project DeliveryAct as a key member of the SAP practice, delivering full lifecycle project activities including process design, functional design, testing, and performance tuning.Analyse and evaluate business processes to define scope, objectives, and system improvements aligned to strategic goals.Lead delivery teams and serve as the Lead Functional Consultant on assigned projects.Translate business requirements into configuration designs and act as a bridge between stakeholders and technical teams.Build strong relationships as a trusted advisor, providing constructive challenge and insight.Plan tasks, estimate effort, meet project milestones, and provide regular progress updates.Guide the organisation towards future-state processes across procurement, finance, and supply chain.Analyse current inventory and procurement workflows, recommending optimisations.Participate in release management, rollouts, upgrades, and migration projects.Deliver training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to ensure successful adoption.Manage onshore and offshore delivery models.Provide Level 3 support for SAP IM and Ariba-related issues.Mentor internal team members as part of ongoing capability development.

Required Skills & QualificationsStrong understanding of supply chain processes and related technologies.Hands-on expertise in SAP MM and Inventory Management.Practical experience with SAP Ariba P2P (Buying & Invoicing).Familiarity with SAP integration tools (e.g., CIG, CPI).Experience integrating SAP with third-party systems.Minimum 5+ years of SAP consulting with a focus on IM and Ariba.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Bachelor's degree in IT, Supply Chain, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).SAP certifications in IM, MM, or Ariba are highly desirable. Nice to HaveBroader knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and Fiori applications.Understanding of procurement compliance and supplier collaboration frameworks.Industry experience within P2P or logistics environments.
