Network & Application Test Engineer

About the Role

The candidate will integrate a team responsible for testing activities in three main areas:

• Network solutions for SWIFT customers (Customer Connectivity packs, Alliance Connect Virtual, Customer Internet Access).
• Internal networks (MV-SIPN BAP's, SBN).
• Applications supporting the network such as network provisioning, Encryption management, certificate management, user authentication. For the coming years, there will be a clear focus on the new customer access solution and public cloud connectivity. Maintenance and evolution of the existing integrated test environment as well as test automation and management are also part of the job responsibilities. Some design work may also be requested.

About the Role As a Lead Systems & Network Test engineer, you will be part of a team of highly effective IT professionals responsible for acceptance activities for SWIFT products such as customer connectivity packs (physical and virtual), backbone network and its physical security and provisioning and support functions of these products.

Together with the team, you'll be responsible for:

• performing acceptance testing of new and extended products

• maintaining, enhancing and supporting our integrated test infrastructure

• delivering, deploying and using efficient test tools

• ensuring high quality products are delivered to Production In this framework, you will be involved in network and application test activities in various domains such as public cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP), Network security, Network routing and switching, Network provisioning using, but not limited to Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, R&S, RHEL, VMWare technologies. Education University degree in Computer Science or equivalent by experience. Experience 5 to 10 years of experience within a design, testing or development environment. Domains Networking / Systems / Public cloud / Test management Key Responsibilities

• Execute / supervise all aspects of the testing phase for new / enhanced networking or application solutions in an accurate and timely manner.

• Participate in requirements/design phases of enhanced/new products to prepare test strategy and testbed requirements

• Propose and lead the implementation of process improvement efforts.

• Propose and lead the development of test automation tools.

• Support and facilitate usage of our test infrastructure Qualifications Technical skills:

• Networking (routing, switching, encryption) - mandated

• Knowledge of public clouds (Azure, AWS, GCP) - mandated

• Knowledge of Cisco and Juniper HW/SW - mandated

• Scripting / development skills (e.g.: Python, Perl, ...) - mandated

• Testing expertise (test automation, test management) - mandated

• Knowledge of Agile methodology - asset

• RHEL / VMware - asset
