Embedded Software Engineer

Overview

1. Introduction:

2. The role:

You will be working in a team that develops and test critical software applications.

• Designing and developing software for embedded systems, including real-time operating systems, device drivers, and application software.
• Debugging and troubleshooting software defects in the field, including root cause analysis and resolution.
• Implementing software testing and validation procedures, including writing and executing test cases and developing automated test frameworks.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, system engineers, and project managers, to ensure successful integration and delivery of software products.
• Participating in code and design reviews to ensure software quality and compliance with industry standards.
• Maintaining and updating software documentation, including requirements, design specifications, and test reports.
• Participating in risk assessments and safety analyses to ensure that software products meet safety and reliability requirements.
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and advances in embedded software development.
• Participating in continuous improvement efforts to optimize software development processes and tools.
• Providing technical support to customers and field service engineers as needed

3. Requirements: We are not looking for the candidate that ticks all the boxes, but if you find yourself in the following sentences then we would be glad to have a chat with you!

• 5+years' experience in software development
• Engineering degree in computer science, system engineering or comparable
• Experience in reading, writing, defining, and implementing test specifications
• Ability to code in C, C++, or Python
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure technology (networking, operating systems, cybersecurity)
