Job description

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst who combines technical insight with strong communication skills to join our team in Antwerp. This role focuses on analyzing data sources, preparing integration blueprints, and supporting external consultants who build and maintain our data pipelines. You will not be expected to build integrations yourself, but rather act as a key intermediary between business stakeholders and developers-translating data needs into actionable specifications, performing source analysis, and improving the quality and performance of existing processes. This includes ETL documentation, analysis, and continuous optimization. As part of a team operating across 6 brands in 10+ international markets, this position requires a strong business mindset, the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, and occasional travel to support rollout and engagement., * Analyze new or evolving data sources (e.g., APIs, structured files, ERP/CRM exports) for feasibility and business value

  • Create technical specifications and mapping documentation for data integrations performed by external BI consultants
  • Guide consultants on structure, logic, and expected outcomes of new data flows
  • Document, review, and propose improvements for existing ETL pipelines and data warehouse processes
  • Translate business needs into integration-ready technical concepts, ensuring traceability and clarity
  • Validate integration results, support UAT, and ensure data flows meet performance and quality expectations
  • Act as a data liaison across brands and departments, facilitating cross-country coordination
  • Occasionally travel to local markets to support project rollouts and stakeholder alignment
  • Stay informed about trends in ETL development and Microsoft Fabric innovations, with an eye toward improving long-term architecture

Requirements

Do you have experience in XML?, * 1-3 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, or a related role

  • Solid understanding of SQL (preferably Microsoft SQL Server) and relational data modeling
  • Experience in source system analysis, including interpreting file structures, table relationships, and APIs (JSON/XML)
  • Familiarity with ETL processes: ability to assess, document, and guide improvement of existing logic
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working in an international environment, fluent in English
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to support key projects across European markets

Nice-to-Have's

  • Experience working with external BI consultants or vendors
  • Awareness of Microsoft Fabric and emerging approaches to integrated data platforms
  • Experience in FMCG, retail, or multi-brand contexts
  • Understanding of data governance and compliance
  • Basic familiarity with visualization tools like Power BI (not a core responsibility)
