Linux System Administrator

We looking for a System Administrator based in Madrid or Seville. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a passionate and fast-growing start-up developing novel diagnostic tests for the early detection of cancers with the potential to significantly impact society. Work model: Hybrid Type of employment: Permanent and full-time Probation Period: 6 months Gross annual salary: To be negotiated with the candidate Annual Bonus: Up to 20% of your gross salary based on objectives Office location: Sevilla, Madrid or Fully Remote How you'll contribute:

• Keep the server infrastructure operational, protected, and properly dimensioned
• Assist in the deployment of new solutions or products, generating the most appropriate infrastructure in each case
• Implement security and prevention measures, both in the cloud infrastructure and in all company processes, to ensure maximum security and privacy of the company data
• Implement the necessary measures and processes to obtain industry-standard safety certifications (e.g. ISO 27001)
• Configure physical racks and servers
• Debug the full stack (network, frontend, backend and system) to find issues and solutions

• B.S: in Computer Science or related field

• +3 years experience in server maintenance and configuration

• Desirable associate-level certification in AWS

• Certification Areas may include AWS DevOps Professional, AWS Security Specialty, AWS Networking Specialty

• Desirable Kubernetes certification in CKAD, CKA, CKS

• Background in Linux server setup, deployment, and maintenance (Debian / Ubuntu, security, monitoring)

• Setup, maintain and optimize on-premises and cloud Linux-based application servers

• Software development background is much preferred.

• Infrastructure lifecycle management

• Shell/Bash script

• Management of databases, storage and backups

• Monitoring systems

• Load balancers and testing systems

• Networking basic knowledge and troubleshooting

• Familiar with web protocols

• Valuable knowledge: o AWS certifications o Git version control system o Docker o Kubernetes o Background in SQL

• Efficient with management and organizational skills to meet established timelines.

• Ability to work independently and proactively without supervision.

• Organized and thorough with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication, teamwork, self-driven, proactive, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent English writing & speaking skills are a must.
