Graduate / Junior Embedded Software Engineer

AI & Systems Engineer. This is a hybrid role blending backend engineering, GPU systems, AI agent development, and automation. You will work directly with the founder, our economics lead, and our quantitative modelling lead. This is not a corporate environment. We move fast, prefer clean architecture, and value people who can think independently.

Core Responsibilities

You will own the technical backbone of Steadrock's internal systems:

• Compute Infrastructure (DGX)
• Manage our NVIDIA DGX server (Linux environment, CUDA, system health)
• Build, test, and maintain internal APIs (FastAPI/Flask)
• Design stable ngrok / reverse-proxy / network connections for remote access
• Optimise GPU utilisation and monitor performance
• AI Agent & Automation Development
• Build internal agents that automate:
• document extraction (PDFs, planning papers, legal documents)
• real estate data ingestion
• CV filtering algorithms
• email workflows
• Integrate LLM APIs and vector databases
• Develop pipelines for fine-tuning, embeddings, inference
• Backend & Internal Tools
• Build the "Steadrock OS": internal dashboards, scheduling tools, risk engines
• Maintain Python codebase, Git repositories, environments
• Connect iPhone/iPad workflows with backend systems
• Data & Real Estate Interfaces
• Compile property listings data
• Build automated comparables engines
• Connect planning documents to structured outputs

• Strong Python
• Experience with Linux (Ubuntu), bash, SSH
• Understanding of GPUs, CUDA basics, or willingness to learn fast
• Experience with FastAPI, Flask or similar
• Basic networking knowledge (ports, tunnels, proxies)
• SQL or NoSQL experience
• Git disciplinePreferred

• Exposure to Docker or Kubernetes
• Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP)
