Senior Design Engineer Watton | £45k£55kPlease note: Were unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role.Position 1 Recruitment is seeking a Senior Design Engineer with a mechanical engineering background to lead projects and mentor a team of engineers in the UK and India. Youll support complex heater design projects, provide technical authority, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions for clients.What Youll Do:Lead and mentor engineering teams, providing technical guidance and appraisalsApprove drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentationTake ownership of engineering calculations, material selection, and design analysisAct as technical authority internally and with clientsContribute to product improvements and new design solutionsEnsure engineering best practices and continuous improvementWhat Were Looking For:Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex mechanical designsProficiency in Autodesk Inventor; knowledge of SolidWorks or AutoCAD desirableExperience with engineering standards, product certification, and documentationWhy Join Us:Salary: £45,000£55,000Hybrid working (3 days in-office, 2 days from home post-probation)Early finish Fridays, company pension, sick pay, on-site parkingCycle to Work scheme
