Job description
Own and continually improve the quality and efficiency of our internal IT operations - including corporate infrastructure, end-user computing, office AV, and internal business applications - managing existing processes and implementing new ones to support business growth
Lead, grow, and mentor the IT team, identifying skill gaps and hiring needs as the business expands; oversee IT service desk and user support functions
Formulate, implement, and regularly test IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans
Manage relationships with key technology vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring SLAs are met
Oversee IT budgets, forecasting, and procurement, ensuring cost-effective delivery of services
Collaborate with Security, Software Engineering, and Network Operations teams to ensure seamless integration between internal systems and core infrastructure
Define and maintain IT policies, standards, and documentation in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practice
Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring staff have appropriate access and equipment from day one
Evaluate and implement new technologies that enhance productivity, security, and operational resilience
Report to senior leadership on IT performance, risks, and strategic initiatives

Requirements
Experienced IT Manager or Head of IT, ideally in a regulated environment such as legal, financial services, or infrastructure
Strong experience administering complex Windows environments on-premises and in the cloud (Azure), including hybrid AD deployments
Experience managing hybrid Windows/macOS estates
Solid understanding of cyber security principles and compliance frameworks
Experience building, nurturing, and developing IT teams
Confident project managing initiatives from scoping through to delivery
Strong communicator who works effectively cross-functionally
Organised and able to prioritise competing demands
Familiarity with hyperconverged infrastructure (Azure Stack HCI ideal)
Comfortable working across platforms, including enterprise Linux
Experience with office AV and conferencing systems
Exposure to physical security systems (access control, CCTV)
