An ambitious and forward-thinking public sector organisation based in York requires an Infrastructure Deployment Team Leader on an 18-month FTC basis. This is an exciting time to join the team as they embark on major technology programmes to enhance their digital infrastructure., We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Infrastructure Deployment Team Leader to lead the delivery of two key initiatives:
An organisation-wide hardware refresh and Windows 11 rollout Full IT and AV infrastructure fit-out of our new siteYou will manage a dedicated team of deployment engineers and external suppliers, ensuring successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects. This is an on-site-based role in York, with occasional travel to London., Leading and coordinating project teams and suppliers to deliver high-quality outcomes Overseeing installation, maintenance, and upgrades of infrastructure, end-user hardware, network, and AV systems Managing full lifecycle delivery from design to service transition Engaging stakeholders and providing clear communication throughout Ensuring compliance with security standards and policies Providing leadership, coaching, and support to team members
Requirements
Technical certifications such as Cisco (CCNA/CCNP) or Microsoft Certified (Azure, Windows Server) Strong experience deploying Windows desktop environments using Microsoft System Management tools Proven track record in project and supplier management for large-scale IT projects Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to lead teams and manage competing priorities Desirable:
ITIL or PRINCE2 certifications Experience with AV technologies and enterprise-level network configuration
