Job description
We're hiring a Platform Engineer to help build a new electronic trading platform from the ground up, running in a private cloud environment.
This is a hands-on role sitting close to the trading desk, focused on performance, reliability, and scale in a fast-moving front-office setup.
What you'll be working on
- Building and running a private-cloud platform for a greenfield electronic trading system
- Supporting low-latency on-premises environments, performance-critical workloads
- Working day-to-day with developers and the trading desk to keep systems fast, stable, and observable
Requirements
- OpenShift & Kubernetes
- Strong Linux background
- Performance optimisation in production environments
- Terraform for infrastructure as code
- HashiCorp Vault (or similar secrets management)
- Private cloud infrastructure
Experience that matters
- Background in electronic trading systems (eFX, Equities, Fixed Income, etc.)
- Experience supporting front-office platforms and working closely with traders
- Comfortable in environments where performance and uptime are non-negotiable
