Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Solution Architect with a strong background in financial services to join a dynamic and forward-thinking technology team. This role will be pivotal in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions tailored to the needs of financial institutions., * Design and architect AWS cloud solutions for financial applications, ensuring compliance with industry regulations (e.g., FCA, GDPR).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Lead cloud migration projects and modernisation initiatives across financial platforms.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and data security in all cloud architectures.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development and infrastructure teams.
- Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Optimize cloud costs and performance through continuous monitoring and improvement.
- Stay current with AWS services and financial technology trends.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an AWS Solution Architect in the financial sector.
- Strong understanding of financial systems, compliance, and data governance.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional).
- Expertise in cloud security, IAM, encryption, and secure networking.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and automation tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable:
- Experience with financial data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv).
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., MiFID II, Basel III).
- Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
- Background in fintech or banking technology transformation projects.
