Job description

The Technical Assurance Analyst will play a key role in supporting the delivery and quality assurance of Cyber Essentials (CE) and Cyber Essentials Plus certifications, as well as other related cyber security certification schemes. The role involves providing technical support, moderating assessments, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Cyber Essentials and cyber security principles; excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities., * Technical Support and Guidance:

  • Handle incoming technical queries related to the Cyber Essentials certification schemes and provide clear guidance and/or signposting.
  • Create and maintain guidance documentation for clients to address common issues and improve understanding of certification requirements.
  • Escalate issues that require more complex advice to the Product Assurance Manager.
  • Moderation and Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct moderations for Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certifications to ensure consistency and compliance with standards.
  • Provide feedback to assessors via support tickets and verbal communication, addressing challenges in a constructive and professional manner.
  • Identify trends and recurring issues within moderations and share insights during team meetings to improve processes.
  • Escalate cases where applicants challenge assessor decisions, to ensure fair and accurate outcomes.
  • Actively participate in the organisation's quality assurance processes and uphold all relevant quality standards.
  • Undertake any other duties as required by the organisation to support the delivery of certification schemes.

Requirements

Do you have experience in macOS?, * Strong understanding of how systems and networks are used within organisations.

  • Good knowledge of end-user device operating systems, including macOS, Windows, ChromeOS, Linux, iOS, and Android.
  • Basic to extensive knowledge of cyber security principles, including Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification schemes.
  • Experience:
  • Experience in IT support, cyber security, or a similar role.
  • Experience in providing consultancy and assessing certification schemes is highly desirable.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication:
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues and work independently to resolve them.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback to assessors and clients.
  • Ability to address challenges in a positive and professional manner.
  • Organisational Skills:
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues, with a willingness to learn and develop in the role.

Additional Information:

This role may involve occasional changes to responsibilities as required by the business. The successful candidate will be expected to adapt to evolving requirements and contribute to the continuous improvement of the organisation's certification processes.

Benefits & conditions

Salary will be determined based on experience.

Pay: £25,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
