Job description
- Drive operations: Oversee deliveries, re-deliveries, and lease extensions, ensuring every detail aligns with contractual obligations
- Keep things moving: Track locomotives in heavy maintenance or upgrades, gather key data, and issue credit notes for rental holidays
- Stay organized: Maintain up-to-date lease information in CRM and AMS systems
- Support financial accuracy: Prepare invoices, monitor income generation, and work closely with Controlling and Accounting teams for proper income recognition
- Think ahead: Perform indexation calculations to keep lease and maintenance costs aligned with contractual terms
- Collaborate: Contribute to monthly OPS reporting and data consolidation for smooth operations, * Contribute to Corporate Governance initiatives under the supervision of the Head of Corporate Legal
- Provide support on making sure compliance with financing documents, ensuring adherence to all requirements
- Assist in the banking aspects of financing and refinancing transactions, coordinating between parties to facilitate smooth operations
- Provide support with Group Delegated Authorities, ensuring proper governance and control mechanisms
- Offer general support on Luxembourg legal issues, advising internal stakeholders on regulatory and legal matters
Transaction Legal Support
- Support the Head of Corporate Legal with Passenger and Locomotive transactions with legal matters specific to Luxembourg
- Handle the formation of Luxembourg companies and the appointment of key personnel
- Provide ad hoc legal assistance as required on diverse topics related to corporate and banking law
This role offers a diverse legal challenge, working across corporate, transaction, and banking areas in a dynamic international environment., * You'll be the backbone of our locomotive fleet, ensuring seamless operations and providing top-notch technical support to our valued customers.
- Take charge of managing the delivery and redelivery of locomotives, playing a key role in our customer relations and supplier interactions.
- Dive into the data to analyze and optimize fleet performance.
- Your keen eye for improvement will be put to good use as you identify and evaluate opportunities to enhance our locomotives and lease products.
- When challenges arise, you will be there to provide support in case of accident repairs, heavy maintenance, and navigate through contract negotiations.
- Collaboration is key, you'll work closely with several departments within our organization, ensuring seamless communication and organization.
- Stay vigilant for shifts in European and national regulations, ensuring compliance and accuracy in our operations, providing technical perspective to the Project team.
- Be the one closest to our locomotive fleet, always ensuring safe operation., * Support the creation of other single-entity and consolidated financial statements
- Support the creation of half-year accounts and the calculation of bank covenants as partof external finance requirements
- Collaboration on accounting treatment according to IFRS / local GAAPs
- Participation in international projects (new software, accounting treatments, newbuild, etc.)
- Supporting the tax department for topics/treatments that are also tax-related
- Implementing and monitoring internal controls to ensure data integrity within thefinancial statements
- Contact for the auditor
- Contact for service providers
- Quality control for financial statements (half-year and year-end)
- Continuous optimization of processes
- Collaboration in developing a group-wide accounting policy
- Monitor and implement new requirements under ESG/CSRD with regards to theconsolidated financial statements
- Key user for Microsoft Dynamics D365

- Strong knowledge of Luxembourg legal matters and regulations
- Fluent in English; additional European language skills would be a plus

- At 2-3 years professional experience in group accounting/consolidation or audit
- Strong knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and groupaccounting
- Knowledge of Luxembourgish and German accounting principles are of advantage
- Project work experience
- advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word
- Preferably experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 and Microsoft Power BI
