Job description
- Right to work in the UK is essential - You need to currently be living in the UK and within an easy commute to our offices in Crawley on a daily basis.
The Technical Support and Service Engineer will provide technical troubleshooting and service support for ARUN Technology's hardware, software and applications. Support will be delivered on-site, over the phone, via email and through remote support sessions.
The role includes responsibility for on-site installations, annual servicing, repairs and customer training for both new and existing customers in the UK and internationally., * Provide technical and service support for all ARUN Technology products across both OES and LIBS product lines to direct customers and the global distributor network
- Travel within the UK and internationally to carry out installations, servicing, repairs and on-site training
- Deliver on-site commissioning and customer acceptance of new systems
- Maintain accurate service and support records, including logging and managing Support Tickets via HubSpot CRM
- Create, update and distribute technical documentation including service notes, user manuals and training materials
- Track product and software issues, escalating quality concerns where required and supporting corrective solutions
- Liaise with product specialists at the parent company and attend product training at manufacturing sites as required
- Perform technical demonstrations at the UK office, customer sites and industry exhibitions
- Deliver technical training to customers and distributors
- Undertake other related duties as required to support the wider business
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in Time management?, * Qualification in Engineering, Physics or a related Science discipline
- Strong technical understanding of metallurgy and/or physics
- Ideally a minimum of 2 years' experience operating analytical instrumentation (e.g. OES, handheld LIBS)
- At least 2 years' hands-on field service or maintenance experience with analytical or scientific instrumentation
- Above-average computer literacy, including MS Office; experience with CRM systems such as HubSpot is desirable
- Full, clean UK driving licence
