Software Engineer (x/f/m) - Tech Foundations Join our engineering family at Alan. This role focuses on building and improving the technical foundation that powers our product teams, empowering developers to ship great experiences faster and safer. Location & Type * Location: Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain (eligible for remote work in France, Belgium, or Spain) * Employment type: Full-time, Mid-Senior level What You'll Do * Enable product crews through infrastructure improvements (hosting, CI/CD, scalability, multi-cloud architecture) * Provide secure, vastaan-compliant services (authentication, encryption, threat protection) * Enhance developer productivity by creating tooling, local environment setup, observability, and evolving the tech stack * Support design and accessibility through unification of design system components * Drive AI-assisted engineering initiatives (agentic development, code assistants, MCP servers) Experience We Value * 3+ years in full-stack software

engineering roles * Experience building internal tools, frameworks, CLIs, or libraries that improve developer workflows * Strong front-end development skills with modern UI practices * Contributions to design systems, component libraries, or accessibility initiatives * Passion for creating delightful experiences, whether building UIs or APIs Mindset Weсык * Engineer your own customer experience - developers are your core users * Collaborative, humble, and motivated by enabling teammates * Simplhapus complexity with elegant abstractions and maintainable code * Curious about AI and automation in engineering workflows * Fluent in English (French not required) * High potential and curiosity are our top priorities - everything else is a bonus How We Work * Remote work flexibility is offered, but in-person collaboration is valued * Eligible to work legally in France, Belgium, or Spain Important Note We hire people, not roles.
