Job description
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team responsible for data systems, DevOps, and infrastructure reliability.
- Define technical strategy and ensure high-quality execution of all team initiatives.
- Oversee engineering work on the core graph database, including modifications, CI/CD pipelines, documentation, and incident response.
- Manage infrastructure improvements for Kubernetes-based deployments, Argo CD, Helm charts, and automation tooling.
- Plan and execute deployments into compliance-restricted environments, ensuring secure-by-default practices.
- Collaborate with product, security, and engineering leadership to set priorities and drive roadmap execution.
- Promote best practices in observability, monitoring, and operational excellence across data and infrastructure teams.
Requirements
- Seven or more years of software engineering experience, with at least two years in a leadership role.
- Experience managing teams working on infrastructure technologies, including Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and Postgres or other databases.
- Background in distributed systems, stateful data infrastructure, and enterprise software delivery.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS (EKS, VPC networking, IAM).
- Proven ability to mentor engineers, set technical direction, and deliver complex projects reliably.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional and remote team environments.
- U.S. citizenship and residency required., * Experience developing database technologies, especially graph databases.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance frameworks such as NIST, CMMC, or FedRAMP.
- Experience supporting ITAR or other restricted federal environments.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform), service meshes, and observability stacks.
