Job description
- Owns the end to end execution of technical and user interface elements in the Pulse mobile application.
- Splits large tasks in manageable and decoupled steps.
- Estimates and prioritises based on the implementation effort and customer impact.
- Collaborates with other app developers, backend developers, product owners, quality specialists and other stakeholders, influencing the broader business through tech solutions.
- Ensures the utmost high quality of the Pulse app in production, by monitoring crashes, firefighting incidents and solving complex bugs.
- Contributes to the processes that support the release of new features for the entire company, such as the release process, the build process, etc.
- Contributing to the growth of Booking.com through interviewing, on-boarding, or other recruitment efforts.
Requirements
Do you have experience in UI?, * 1-3 years of proven experience as a Software Engineer with strong proficiency in Kotlin.
- Experience with modern Android development practices and good understanding of Android SDK.
- Experience working with any of MVVM, MVI and MVP architectures and Jetpack Compose UI App Development.
- Experience with version control tools like Git.
- Awareness or experience with build tools, project dependencies, and technical documentation.
- Ability to translate product requirements and mockups into fully functional components.
- Ability to design and implement product features in collaboration with frontend and backend developers, UX designers, copywriters, test engineers, and other crafts.
- Experience with applying test-driven and behavior-driven development (TDD/BDD) to write robust tests and uphold high code quality.
- Basic understanding of software delivery and maintenance aspects: deployments, monitoring, scalability, security, reliability.
- Familiarity with data-driven product development processes, including data analytics and A/B testing.
- Demonstrated growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning and applying modern mobile development methodologies and tools to solve complex business problems.
- Experience working on products impacting a large customer base is a plus.
- Fluency in English with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
