Job description

DWP Digital is recruiting a Configuration Manager to help shape the future of digital public services. You'll support the design and improvement of Configuration Management services and tooling, and play a key role in developing and maintaining the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

You'll help set the direction for Configuration Management across DWP Digital, ensuring the CMDB provides accurate, reliable data for critical platforms. You'll also support major digital transformation programmes, contribute to our roadmap, and help improve how configuration data is captured, managed and used., You'll support infrastructure, IT Operations and transition projects to deliver a consistent, high-quality service across DWP.

You'll ensure alignment with Configuration Management policies and standards, maintaining the integrity of Configuration Items (CIs) and their relationships.

You'll develop and maintain Configuration Management plans and procedures, ensure changes are assessed and communicated, and manage CMDB accuracy by capturing, tracking, auditing and reporting on configuration data.

You'll work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to enhance data quality, support configuration tools and provide insights on performance and process effectiveness

Requirements

  • Strong experience in IT Configuration Management, with handson expertise in CMDBs and delivering effective solutions in complex environments using industrystandard data models
  • Working knowledge of Service Management frameworks, ideally ITIL
  • Proven ability to influence, collaborate and deliver with stakeholders at all levels
  • Skilled in ServiceNow and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, along with related analytical and reporting tools

Pay of £44,447, plus 28.97% employer pension contributions, hybrid working, flexible hours, and great work-life balance., Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.

Pay: We offer competitive pay of £44,447

Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth up to £12,876 per year.
