Job description
In this position, you will:
- Containerize and Migrate Applications - Transform existing and new applications, tools, and digital platforms into containerized solutions and orchestrate them on Kubernetes infrastructure
- Architect Cloud Solutions - Engineer robust, scalable solutions across leading cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) aligned with enterprise requirements
- Build Modern Infrastructure - Design and implement highly scalable and serverless infrastructure leveraging cutting-edge technologies and best practices
- Master the Full DevOps Lifecycle - Contribute across the entire cloud and DevOps ecosystem, from application development and continuous deployment through production operations, observability, and performance optimization
- Collaborate closely with global teams - We shape opportunities and delivery projects in a close partnership with our Global Delivery Networks. You serve as the interface between customer requirements and near-shore delivery teams, ensuring clear translation of specifications into implementation guidance
- Establish Observability & Monitoring - Develop comprehensive health monitoring systems and performance metrics to ensure optimal Kubernetes cluster reliability and efficiency
- Enable Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with IT operations, software engineering, and business stakeholders to translate functional, scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements into technical solutions
- Drive Community & Business Development - Play an active role in Deloitte's Container Community of Practice, contributing technical expertise, sharing best practices, and mentoring peers. Additionally, you will participate as a subject matter expert in container-related Request for Proposals (RFPs), helping shape our service offerings and supporting business development initiatives that leverage containerization and Kubernetes technologies
- Engage with our customers - You play a vital role in capturing key client requirements & concerns, and actively articulating tailor-made solutions that address these. Requirements
We are seeking a talented Kubernetes Engineer with a strong passion for cloud-native technologies and infrastructure automation. You will take ownership of designing, deploying, and orchestrating containerized environments leveraging Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code frameworks to drive digital transformation across our clients' organization., * Educational Background - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Engineering Expertise: 3 to 8 years of professional experience in cloud engineering or related roles.
- Kubernetes Expertise - at least 4 years of hands-on professional experience developing, deploying, optimizing, and troubleshooting applications in Kubernetes environments
- Software Development or Infrastructure Automation - Proven experience either writing production code in at least one modern programming language or designing and building automated infrastructure solutions
- Cloud Platform Proficiency - Solid background in cloud platform administration and/or cloud-native development
- DevOps Fundamentals - Strong foundational knowledge of core DevOps principles including continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, FaaS)
- Technical Stack Competency - Demonstrated hands-on experience with one or more of the following: Kubernetes, Docker, PowerShell, Bash, Python, or equivalent containerization and automation technologies
- Team Player - Experience working in and leading teams, as well as growing the careers of team members
- Language Proficiency - Professional-level English communication skills (C2 level or equivalent)
- Communication - You have excellent communication skills (writing & oral) in addressing our customers' needs, both during project delivery and initial (technical) opportunity shaping.
Preferred qualifications If you have any of the below certifications, this is a plus and will be positively evaluated:
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
- Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator
