Job description
We are seeking a skilled Principal Software Engineer to join our team which is based in Bad Homburg where you will contribute to the development of complex software solutions.

What you will be responsible for:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement highly distributed and scalable systems
- Develop and maintain backend services, ensuring performance and reliability
- Being part of server tier development delivering new frameworks and components as foundation for moving the integrated system SimCorp Dimension into 3-Tier architecture and cloud
- Transferring business logic that drives our clients' success into readable and maintainable code
- Having a detailed focus on the security aspects of the development, and help teams improve in the topic of software security
- Apply comprehensive analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate and resolve complex production service issues
- Plan and schedule software development tasks, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality code
- Provide technical leadership
Requirements
Do you have experience in Leadership?, * 5+ years experience in a similar role
- Proficient problem-solving skills, expertise in software engineering practices, and the ability to mentor junior engineers
- Proficiency in coding in C#
- Readiness to work with mature code to be transformed to cloud optimized architecture (APL - https://tryapl.org/)
- Extensive experience in designing and building large-scale distributed systems
- Solid background in backend development with a focus on performance, reliability, efficiency, and scale-out
- Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, with proficient testing, debugging, and analytical skills
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex production service issues at scale
- Efficient English communication skills, both written and verbal
