Job description

As the Workday Specialist (m/w/d) you are an important interface within our People & Communications organization. You are the first point of contact for all matters relating to our HRM system Workday. With your in-depth understanding of Workday functionality, you drive the development of our HR applications and play a central role in implementing new processes and interfaces. In addition to strategic projects, you are the company's go-to expert for all Workday-related questions: you gather requirements, prioritise and implement them to create efficient technical solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives with a high degree of autonomy and enjoys finding creative ways to solve problems for internal customers. Your tasks in a nutshell:

  • Own Workday development: You own the development of our Workday HR modules, ensuring that Workday remains an optimal system for our global HR activities.
  • Manage releases & updates: You take responsibility for and manage release changes and other system updates.
  • Implement processes & trainings: You implement new processes and conduct and document user training for various target groups.
  • Maintain interfaces: You maintain and implement new interfaces to other systems (e.g. payroll providers, external time recording systems, IT databases such as Entra ID / Active Directory).
  • Integrate new entities: You manage the technical integration of new subsidiaries into Workday.
  • Create reports: You adapt existing and create new Workday custom reports.
  • Support users: You respond to, process user enquiries, and provide guidance, support, and training to users on Workday functionality.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Workday?, * Workday Expertise: Proven hands-on experience working with Workday as an administrator, specialist, or consultant, ideally in a company with a significant international footprint.

  • Project Management: Experience in managing complex projects is beneficial.
  • Broad Module Knowledge: Deep knowledge of multiple Workday modules.
  • Roadmap Ownership: Experience in owning a roadmap system and managing backlogs as well as stakeholder priorities is a plus.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in German and in English.

With these characteristics, you fit perfectly with us:

  • Analytical & Solution-Oriented: You enjoy understanding complex HR and system requirements and translating them into pragmatic, scalable Workday solutions.
  • Service-Minded & Collaborative: You see yourself as a service provider, with good communication skills, for our internal technical and non-technical stakeholders and work closely and constructively with HR, IT and other departments.
  • Structured & Reliable: You work in a structured way, keep an overview even with multiple parallel topics, and reliably bring tasks to completion.
  • Ownership & Drive: You can work independently, manage priorities, and drive end-to-end initiatives.
  • Curious & Proactive: You stay up to date with Workday developments and proactively suggest improvements to our HR system landscape.

Even if you do not fulfil all of the above requirements, we encourage you to apply if you believe your experience will add value to our team. You feel this could be a match?
