Job description

You could be progressing your career in a Cloud Security Engineer role as part of a friendly and supportive international team at a growing and hugely successful European car insurance tech company as they expand their UK presence; their platform enables an insurance quote to be made to the consumer within 60 seconds, using just 4 clicks.

As a Cloud Security Engineer you will design AWS cloud solutions, implement and manage security controls between AWS and Kubernetes EKS environments, conduct threat modelling, code review and penetration testing on the AWS infrastructure, configure and manage web application firewall rules and automate security checks and repetitive tasks to enforce protection at scale.

You'll collaborate with the Platform and Infrastructure teams and participate in investigation and response to security alerts.

Requirements

  • You have experience with AWS secure design and implementation
  • You have experience with Kubernetes / K8s and EKS
  • You have experience with a Web Application Firewall e.g. Cloudflare
  • You can script using Python (or similar) for automation
  • You have a good understanding of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • You have a good knowledge of Cloud Control Frameworks e.g. CIS, CSA, NIST
  • You're collaborative and pragmatic with great communication skills
  • Relevant certifications such as CKA, CKS, OSCP, paCSP, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate/Professional, or similar are preferred
