Job description

We're looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer - Azure to join our dynamic and friendly IT team. You'll be responsible for supporting and maintaining a diverse mix of on-premise and cloud technologies and helping to drive improvements across our IT estate.

  • Managing and supporting core infrastructure across VMware, storage, networking, Azure and Microsoft 365.
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining Servers, workstations and peripherals.
  • Administering Active Directory, user accounts and backup solutions (including Veeam).
  • Providing 1st-3rd line support to internal and external users.
  • Monitoring live systems and responding to operational issues.
  • Managing Switches, Routers and assisting with Firewall configuration.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation and following change control processes.
  • Supporting ongoing improvement projects and recommending enhancements.
  • Mentoring junior team members where needed.
  • Participating in an out-of-hours on-call rota and occasional travel between sites.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years' experience in an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role Proven experience with:

  • VMware/vSphere

  • Veeam

  • 3rd line Azure & M365

  • Windows Server/Windows OS

  • Active Directory

  • Networking, routing, switching & Firewalls Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and customer-service mindset Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience mentoring or supporting other team members Understanding of ITIL methodology (preferred), If you're a proactive, detail-oriented engineer who enjoys variety and responsibility, we'd love to hear from you.
